This is one of the best futons we have ever found for the money. It's a True 9 inch (marketed as a 10 inch by most retailers) thick futon that will keep you happy for years. When buying a futon and frame, your most important decision should be about the futon itself, because that's where your comfort (or lack there of) really comes from, and not so much the frame. This futon brand is different from most others because it contains two layers of 5 inch thick, high-resiliency Fibre-Foam for long lasting comfort. Unlike the traditional urethane foams used in most futons, Fibre-Foam does not breakdown over time when exposed to light and air. All traditional style futon will compact some, (due to the cotton), but its the Fibre-Foam that helps keep the futon from continuing to compress. In addition to the Fibre-Foam being a far more resilient and longer lasting choice than traditional urethane foams found in most other futons, this foam is very flexible. We know of no other futon this thick that can be used on just about any frame; whether it be on a full-length couch, a lounger, or even an A-Frame. The 9 Inch Premium Fibre-Foam Futon is a truly exceptional value. This is one very comfortable, long lasting, all-purpose futon! Proudly Made in the USA and Environmentally Friendly! Although it is a little thinner than i expected, It is still fairly comfortable and pretty easy to fold up and move.

As far a shipping goes this product gets a 10 out of 10 being the highest, it got to my house very quick! It is a comfortable mattress, I use it as my bed. However, by no means is it 9inches thick like it was advertised. I would say it is about 7-8inches thick. It is very sturdy and I can tell it will last for a long time.

It doesn't seem to be as thick as advertised, and it compresses more than I thought it would. Though after light use I could feel the frame slats through it, it is still okay and would be just fine for younger children. However, adults or people weighing probably more than 100 pounds may want to consider something different.
